</font></font></div><div align="left"><font face="宋体"><font size="3">野鹿荡毗邻大丰麋鹿国家级自然保护区。成群的麋鹿跑到野鹿荡觅食、栖息、有的还下水游泳，而抬头仰望，则是灰鹤、白鹭和其他各种鸟类在自由翱翔。到了夜晚，浩瀚的星空更体现了自然之美。</font></font></div><div align="left"><font face="宋体"><font size="3"><br />

<div align="left">野鹿荡位于人口稠密、经济相对发达的长三角地区，26平方公里没有光污染。“在城市，星空已成为稀缺资源。因此，在这里设立暗夜星空保护地，有重要的社会教育意义。”在野鹿荡保护地做管理的工作人员表示，希望加强保护地间的合作，为子孙后代保留清朗的天空，做到“天上有星空，心中有哲思”。</div><br />
<div align="left">据介绍，野鹿荡区域平均全年可观察星空达238天，所设的国家自动气象观察台是仰望星空的好去处，夏夜银河、冬季猎户星座清晰可见。</div><br />

<div align="left">2018年，野鹿荡被确认为第三处、我国沿海地区首个“中华暗夜星空保护地”。这里同时还是江苏省沿海野草种子基因库，对485种野草田野进行调查，适当保护，采集标本和种子，对其中原生野大豆、野草莓、水中野菱等濒临灭绝或正在灭绝的物种划定保护。</div><br />
<div align="left">2019年，野鹿荡星空保护地的提升项目，被盐城市政府和大丰区政府列入世界自然遗产地保护和建设规划。</div><br />
